Dear Emilee,
We are going somewhere again.
Tuvia, a friend of the Cunningham’s is arriving right now with a jeep and we are going…
Don’t know where or for how long, no one tells me… (Pout)…
I thought when you mailed me to this old couple that I will be bored after the first week and will have nothing to do, but they are busier than a class of 8 years old! Always on the go somewhere.
As you can see, I’m guarding the luggage and making sure that they don’t forget me behind. I will write again as soon as I can sit at the computer again.
Have a delightful week,
On the go again,
Your reporter, Flat Stanley

Back along you said you could not see the Olympics because of a strike. Is that the reason the Israeli girl ice skater declined to go to Vancouver?
Don't know, they don't tell me these things...Flat Stanley
Dear Flat Stanley,
Again, you are doing such an excellent job of reporting on your adventures in Israel. Mr. and Mrs. C. must be very proud of you- you will be able to write a book of short stories and you will be a famous author someday!
Then we will call you 'fabulous Stanley' - you will still be able to get into tight narrow places and travel inexpensively if you are flat, but you will also be welcomed by publishers of important books!
By the way, I thought you might like to know that I really loved hearing about your trip to Orchid Utopia. I looked it up its website on my computer, and oh my, I really hope to visit there someday myself.
I have an orchid in my kitchen, and it just re-bloomed this week. I have been watching it ever since it started to grow buds again, and it takes many weeks for them to swell up and then I watch every day, several times, to see when the first bud will bloom.
I think God was watching it too, in a special way. It bloomed the same day we went to a special service, a funeral and memorial service for a special man who used to have a business with my father. I thought that was special. He was 100 years old on February 28 and he passed into eternity on March 2 after a special birthday celebration with his children, grand children and great grandchildren.
I don't think you have to think about getting old - there is something special about you. You will just get wiser and wiser and be able to help many children understand wonderful things about different countries and different people, so that they can appreciate how wonderful God has made our world.
Take care and know that your letters and the pictures Mr.and Mrs. C. send with your letters are a blessing! I look forward to them. It also keeps me in touch with what our special friends Mr. and Mrs. C. are up to!
Yours from the far West of Canada. I think one of your family, maybe a distant cousin Stanley, has visited here. He actually came on a trip with my friend Shirley (who also knows Mr. and Mrs. C.) and some other ladies last November- it was a ladies weekend but he came undercover and was so well behaved that all the ladies loved him!
Until we hear from you again - kol tov!
Janet
