11. Shabbat

It is the day of rest again. Last night Mr. & Mrs. C. blessed the candles and the wine and the Challah (Shabbat bread), and had a simple, quiet supper and rested. They did not invite anyone to join them since they said that Mrs. C. and I were tired after the busy week on the Army Base. I think Mrs. C. was also tired from having to wash 4 wash machines and Mr. C. was tired from hanging them on the outdoor lines.

So this morning we all crowded into a taxi and went to the Khila to pray and praise and have fun with friends. They took my pictures with two great ladies Tamara and Dolly right there at the Khila.

Afterwards, Mr. and Mrs. C., Dolly and I went to their favorite restaurant in the whole world, BBB, and took my picture with Niv, the owner. As you can tell from the picture on the side panel, I was tired and after I fell off the table, I climbed up again with help.

We went home in the afternoon.

Mrs. Oaky told Mrs. C. that I can stay with them until May. If we continue to have so many exciting adventures, I might have to come home to Canada earlier so I can rest a little…

Just joking. I love it.

Your tired reporter,
Flat Stanley

Dear Emilee,
Stanley's adventures in Israel were sent to me by my friend, Patty who is also in Israel. I love hearing about new places too. My husband and I just spent a year traveling in a boat from Anacortes, WA along the B.C. coast to Ketchikan, AK. We loved your beautiful Canadian coast.

I use to be a kindergarden teacher and we liked Flat Stanley's adventures so much we sent out another book friend named Felix. He is a rabbit who gets lost at the air port and travels around Europe and Africa.

Enjoy
